Why do so few people here use GrandOrgue?
I am very curious as to the lack of interest in the FREE software GrandOrgue on this forum.
Is it that it is deemed not for SERIOUS organists (Ie: that composites are not for purists?) or that there is a perception that there are not enough sets available for the software?
I have used GrandOrgue now for several years and built many FREE composites and builds for this software. I have just dozens and dozens of excellent sounding free sets (many of which are composites) for GrandOrgue. There are also many unencrypted FULL purchaseable sets that can easily have organ definition files made for the software using ODFedit.
In my opinion, it is easily comparable to Hauptwerk (which I also have) and much simpler and easier to use without the incredibly bloated menu options of Hauptwerk. It is also superior to Sweelinq (in my opinion) which still needs a LOT of work to improve their sound engine - although I have not heard anything from their version 3 which apparently was just released.
Please see mps-orgelseite.de for some of the composites that I have made and also MANY, MANY other FREE organs for this software.
Your input is appreciated.
