A Database Error Occurred
What ever I try on CBCH, I get this error message all the time: "A Database Error Occurred. Unable to connect to your database server using the provided settings."
Is this a common error, do you get it too? Or is it 'just me'?
Thanks for your reply!

RE: A Database Error Occurred
Just happened as I tried to reply. We need to donate more money so a better server can be used.

RE: A Database Error Occurred
I used to be a paying customer and was happy about that, but they ended that. I did never understand ... and still don't.

RE: A Database Error Occurred
The problems with the ConcertHall site are permanent, always PHP errors, database errors, extreme long reaction time etc. Nobody from this company takes care of this. I'm actually not able anymore to edit new organ descriptions. Emailing them several times without any reply, what a shame! Hoping somebody of the company reads this...

RE: A Database Error Occurred
Today I managed (after several attempts) to upload a new performance. That makes me glad, but it's really a shame that the website is performing like this.
I did also fill in a form to the technical team, but no reaction at all ...

RE: A Database Error Occurred
I also get the feeling that the company does not want or is not able to spend any more ressources on the site, which is really a pity. I also was a paying customer which allowed me to add my organs to the database, but this possibility is no linger existent. The last organ in the database is the Eule organ of the Mercatorhall in Duisburg which I added last fall.
I must admit that I am really afraid that they might actually close down the site or simply let it die. Perhaps there is a possibility to transfer the site to someone who might be able to continue operating it. I would support this just as I supported the site previously as a subscriber and I am sure many would do. I myself however (and the same is true for the other sample set producers) might not be the right person to manage such a site in the future to avoid any impression of being biased.
What do others think?

RE: A Database Error Occurred
I would support this site (the existing CBCH-site I mean), as I used to … but I would also encourage and support someone who takes over. For me it’s not a problem to pay a fair fee for a fine working and reliable website, I would be really happy with that (and many others I’m sure)!
