| Description: | Being suddenly faced with the prospect of quitting, being fired, or taking more crap, I just cam home and BANGED this baby out, so, it's a pretty "stormy" and somewhat "reckless" performance. Still, it's that kind of piece, isn't it?
I'd like to take credit for the idea of the "quadruple echo" passages, but I got the idea from Piet Kee's wonderful recording on the big Gabler at Weingarten. It is no less effective here - maybe even more.
So, I guess I'll never hear the Wirsching, after all I went through and put up with...
As some of you know, I'd given up music entirely for 8 years. In many ways, I wish I'd just stayed out for good.
I'm EXCEPTIONALLY grateful for the friends I've made here, so, with ALL my sincerity - THANK YOU. |
