Iteke Prins (b. 1937) — Fantasia (2010) for organ

Iteke Prins (b. 1937) was born in Katwijk aan Zee, South Holland (Netherlands) and after emigrating to the USA served for 36 years as organist and music director at Blooming Grove Reformed Church in Renssaelaer, New York. She has studied organ and composition with Alfred V. Fedak. As a composer, she has focused primarily on hymn tunes, and several collections of her work have been published.

“Fantasia” (2010) was composed in honor of Al and Sue Fedak’s 20th anniversary as Ministers of Music and Arts at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Albany, New York. The main theme is taken from a musical spelling of FEDAK.
