From the composer: "Sonatina No. 2" (2013) begins with a a buoyant "Toccata" in which dancing outer sections surround a quiet chorale. The second movement is entitled "Sharagan," a genre of monodic hymn in the Armenian Orthodox church. The third movement is a spirited "Gigue" with a contemporary neo-baroque flavor.
