Neely Bruce (b. 1944) is a composer, pianist, conductor, and American music scholar. Educated at the University of Alabama and the University of Illinois, he is Professor of Music and American Studies at Wesleyan University. Bruce’s very diverse catalog encompasses all musical genres, with a particular focus on works on American subjects and themes. As a pianist, he has recorded and performed many works of American music, from the 19th century to the present day.
