Christopher M. Wicks (b. 1975) — Fugue for Abbot Gregory Duerr, OSB (2014) for organ
Christopher M. Wicks (b. 1975) was educated at the University of Montreal, the Eastman School of Music, and Marylhurst University. He is a Fellow of the American Guild of Organists and has composed a large number of works in all forms.
This fugue is one of the composer’s ongoing series of many such pieces composed using “soggetto cavato” to make a fugue subject drawn from the name of the dedicatee.
