This is the 1938 piece by Ray Noble (1903 - 1978), the English composer and bandleader, which was originally intended as the first movement to his "Indian Suite". Due to its unique harmonic progressions, it has since become a jazz standard.
The 341 specification was designed to be a tight, jazzy ensemble and is particularly suited to this style of music
