Description: | I just received my St. Omer set.
I noticed that most uploaders are concentrating on the baroque part of the organ, so I thought it would be a nice idea to emphasize the romantic side.
So here are part 4 and 5 of Widors most famous symphony.
The St. Omer really blasts away on it!
Registrations part 5:
First part: G.O. 16,8,4
Bombarde: Grand Jeu + Fourniture + Cymbale
Recit: 8, 4, 2, Tromp 8, Clairon
Tirasses
Soft middle section: Recit + flute 4, + Bombarde 16, + Hautbois
Use of Swell
Final part: Bombarde +16, Recit + 16, -Tirasse Ped/G.O.
Final 5 bars: + full Positif, +Couplers
I more or less had to relearn this anew, because I played it so much after services, where errors don't count that much, if you can muffle them away, that I could not play it without lots of mistakes.
Took a lot of effort and apologies for any irregularities I left in.
There are actually only a few entries of this title on the Concert Hall, maybe because so many people are discovering formerly unknown territory! |
