there was a meeting about this children's song in another forum for a different composition. Here I play the original as I know it live from my kids and I sang. :-))

The Cuckoo and the Donkey is a well known German children's song, where Hoffmann Faller life (1798-1874) in 1835 wrote the text. The song was based shot fell from Goethe on one of Carl Friedrich Zelter (1758-1832) written melody, this 1810 musical version of the poem, it is composed.
