Sortie in F (+midi)

Time for some proper music on this delightful reed organ. Here is the Sortie from L'organiste Sept Piéces en Fa. Written in 1889-90, these works offer a functional resource for the working church organist and although less ambitious than his major organ works contain some real gems.

This Sortie is one of my favourites. Written specifically for harmonium it carries well on this instrument. I have often played this on big pipe organs and it was a real pleasure to approach this piece differently to play it on its original instrument.
