Raymond Daveluy (1926–2016) — Prelude in Eb (1959) for organ
Canadian composer and organist Raymond Daveluy (1926–2016) was born in Quebec and held organist positions at a number of churches in Montreal. He was also assistant director and later president of the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal and taught also at other schools in the province including McGill University. Daveluy’s output as a composer consists of a number of works for organ, including six solos sonata and a concerto with orchestra. In 1980, he was named a Member of the Order of Canada.
