Gunnar Thyrestam (1900–1984) was a Swedish composer and organist, who held positions in Sandviken, Ljusnardsberg Holy Trinity Church in Gävle. He composed a large number of pieces for choir and the organ, including more than 20 solo organ concerti. Several of his original hymn tunes appear in the major Swedish hymnal.
