Christus, der uns selig macht

MSD Gattermann (1748 - 1829) had studied with Kirnberger and was cantor and teacher in Berlin.

The score of this choral prelude is available on imslp.org. It is indicated "Zwei Claviere und Pedal", however, the bass line with its many note repetitions (derived from the beginning of the melody) does not really look like a pedal part. I decided to play the piece on two manuals, but to use the pedals for the melody and practiced to change voices "on the fly", avoiding to rearrange the score on paper. That was not easy in the beginning, but improved rather quickly.
