Luigi Picchi (Sairano, September 27, 1899 - Como, August 12, 1970) was an Italian organist and composer of songs mostly sacred and liturgical.

1 Dall'abisso del peccato
noi lo sguardo a Te leviamo:
con il cuore addolorato
il perdono Ti chiediamo.
O Signore, porgi ascolto
a quest'umile preghiera:
Tu circondi chi in Te spera
della tua fedeltà.

T: Pietà di noi, Signor, pietà
risplenda a noi la Tua Bontà.

2 Pellegrini sulla terra
nel deserto camminiamo,
ma sperando con certezza,
o Signor, a Te diciamo:
"Nel mistero della croce
alla vita nasceremo,
e la gloria noi avremo,
quando un giorno tornerai"...

with aching heart
We ask forgiveness.
O Lord, graciously hear
in this humble prayer:
You surround yourself
with those who hope in Thee Your loyalty.

T: Have mercy on us, Lord,

shine on us Thy goodness.

2 Pilgrims on earth
we walk in the desert,
but hoping for sure,
O God, we say to you:
"In the mystery of the cross
life will be born,
and the glory we will have,
