Mary McDonald (b. 1956) is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee and is an active composer, arranger, and organist. She was a sacred choral editor for the Lorenz Corporation for more than 20 years and has served as organist and pianist for several churches. McDonald is best-known for her more than 700 choral anthems along with a number of cantatas and works for piano and organ. In 2000, she became the first woman president of the Southern Baptist Church Music Conference.
