Tiento 2o Tono

Little is kown of Pedro Alberto Vila (1517-1583)
He was organist in Barcelona.

Two of his works are published in the "Antologia de Musica Iberica por Organo"
He also published a book of tientos on his own, which got lost. Another copy of this book was lost in Portugal in the earthquake of 1755

This meditative, sad and imho very beautiful piece sounds on the fine Flautado 8' (Prestant 8') of the Frechilla organ.
