This work, composed by Edgar de Laet (1910-1973) struck me as being especially beautiful and mystical. It's almost hypnotic in the effect that it makes.
It seems to be the most "modern" of these modern Belgian works that I've uploaded. Once again, Gregorian chant seems to be at the heart of the ancient melody that inspired the work.
These five "modern Belgian" uploads are dedicated to Jonathan Orwig (giwro), who sent me these fine pieces! THANKS, J!
Jonathan will be the "Featured Uploader" in an article soon to be released on "The Barde", so be sure to check it out! :-)
