As a player-by-ear, I have a hard time with a lot of chords. I adore this particular hymn, but never knew all the more intricate (to me!) chords. So, I took the time to learn them this weekend, and here is the result. Overall, I think if I do this again I might not end the piece with the almost-tutti (it's about as tutti as a single audio output will take), but at the same time it was kind of fun. Without a proper swell pedal, I had to open up in the third verse by hand which interrupts the flow a bit. Given a choice, I would rather open up over the course of the line.
