"Three St. George Preludes" (Tre Sankt Göranpreludier)"(1983) was written during a period of years when the composer was working with his teacher Stig Gustav Schönberg. Schönberg was then organist of St. George's church (Sankt Görans kyrka) in Stockholm. The first prelude contrasts lyrical melodies with lighthearted music, the second is a gentle lullaby, and the third is a jubilant toccata. This set of preludes has become one of Åberg's most popular works.
