Composer: Schneider, Johann
Sample Producer: Voxus Virtual Organs
Sample Set: Müller Grote of Sint Bavo extended
Software: Hauptwerk IV
Genre: Baroque
Description:
Manuscript Mus. Ms. 30377, owned by the Staatsbibliothek Berlin, contains three Prelude & Fugues by Johann Schneider. In the manuscript they are called just ‘Praeludium’, but since the fugue-part of the pieces is very prominent, I decided to include it in the title.

The registration uses the Bovenwerk coupled to the Rugwerk. It was only after the recording that I noticed that coupler is not present on the real organ. It is however possible to couple both manuals to the Hoofdwerk and to the Pedal division. So, it could sound like this on the real organ, though I doubt anyone would do it like this in the real world.

Prelude
BW: Prestant 8′, Octaaf 4′, Nasard 3′, Mixtuur
RW: Prestant 8′, Holpijp 8, Octaaf 4′, Speelfluit 3′, Superoctaaf 2′, Mixtuur, Trompet 8′
Ped: Prestant 16′, Octaaf 8′, Octaaf 4′, Mixtuur
Koppel Rw+Bw, Koppel Ped+Rw

Fugue
BW: -Mixtuur
Rw: -Mixtuur, -Trompet 8′

Concluding Adagio
Bw: +Mixtuur
Rw: +Mixtuur, +Trompet 8′
Ped: +Bazuin 16′
