Description:
Santi Latora (b. 1935) — Theme in C minor (1976) for organ

Santi Latora (b. 1935) was born in Palermo, Italy and was educated at the Conservatorio Vincenzo Bellini. Upon his graduation in 1953, he turned his focus to the then new electronic organ and began a freelance career as an organist and performer, particularly active on the Italian lounge and club scene. He collaborated with many leading Italian artists of the day including Mina, Franco Franchi, and Riccardo Rauchi. During this time, Latora was approached by the president of the Italian electronic organ maker Farfisa to become one of its primary musical consultants and demonstrators. In 1967, he left freelance performing to work primarily with Farfisa on its instruments. As an electronic organ recording artist, Latora produced more than 15 albums from the late 1960s through the early 1980s. As a composer, he published a number of original organ compositions.
