Boëly was a French organist in the 19th century. He did not like much of the music being written by his contemporaries and much preferred the style of Bach. He lost an organ job because of the works he played. Influenced Franck and Saint-Saens.
Daniel Roth has done a CD of some of his works - well worth a listen. This is a little adagio I found in a book of Adagios for the organ. It is simple but a beautiful little piece.
