An improvisation in honor of the great Christian organist, composer and ornithologist Olivier Messiaen. The piece is based on "One Song" by Dave & Jean Perry.
The organ used is the Willis instrument of Hereford Cathedral. in its extended version, with two modifications:
1) Additional acousitcs, using Reaper and the Hamilton Mausoleum impulse response.
2) Most stops have been detuned and the chorus reeds have also been voiced slightly louder and brighter.
The idea behind is was that the overall sound should be closer to the French Romantic ideal, as has been attempted with other English samplesets.
Thanks in advance for listening and remember to turn the volume up, as the output level of Hereford can be quite low. Please let me know whether the revoicing was successful!
