Percy William Whitlock (1 June 1903 – 1 May 1946) born in Kent and studied with Ralph Vaughan Williams. Was organist in Rochester and Bournmouth and died there tragically young at 42. His major work it the fabulous Sonata in C minor of 1936. Along with many small pieces he wrote these Four Extemporisations in 1933.
