Hymn to the Sun: That Which Breaks Through - Day 33

I am currently traveling by sailboat (Singlehanding 33' Gaff rigged cutter) from NY harbor to Melbourne, FL.

I am currently close to the SC-GA border.

I am blogging the trip and creating musical sketches as I go along. I seldom have enough Internet access to post to Contrebombarde, but since this evening I do, I will upload some of the pieces. In general, they are quasi-improvisatory, for HW organ, synthesizers and found audio.

The sun - that which breaks through.
After a day of fog and relentless rain and heavy wind out of the wrong corner of the sky, even a glimpse of sunshine seems to dispel the most profound chill, if only for a moment. Yet it happened once - the sun broke through. And although the fog and rain returned, that one glimpse gave so much hope - it shall not always be like this. Like the barely recognized still, soft voice of G-d, speaking peace to men whose hearts and souls are clouded over with violence and greed - that voice breaks through, giving hope: it shall not always be like this.
