The last two pieces of the second fascicle of Mus Ms 30439 were written by Johann Pachelbel and Johan Michael Bach. That makes the total of pieces with a known composer to 7: 4 by Pachelbell and 3 by Bach. Hence the supposition the other 9 pieces are by Pachelbel or Bach as well. But it remains uncertain because I have no means to investigate this further.
So let the piece speak for it self. This prelude on “Gott Vater, der du deine Sohn” is manualiter piece that follows the procedure so often used by Pachelbel. First an introductory fugue on the first stanza of the choral melody, then the soprano voice enters to state the full melody in long notes.
