Description: | There remain two pieces to be published from the manuscript that contains the 6 Organ Trios. Initially I thought the remaining pieces were chorale preludes, but of one I cannot deduce what choral it could be based on. One of the three is mostly identical to a piece I published earlier: a prelude on “Freu dich sehr, o meine Seele”. The one presented here is clearly a prelude on “Sei Lob und Ehr dem höchsten Gut”. It’s interesting to note there are some similarities with one of the preludes Kittel wrote for the same choral. The third one is not based on any choral that I could deduce. It has no title in the manuscript, but since it is in three part writing, it might as well be called “Trio 7”.
