| Description: | This is Hymn No. 79 from the LDS Hymnal.
Text: Isaac Watts, 1674-1748: Psalm 138:1-8
Music: Lowell M. Durham, b. 1917
This is a test recording of the Cembalo Mietke Model sample set with the Extension package to provide additional virtual stops (16', 4' and 2') for the manuals and a virtual independent pedal with 3 stops, although only a few notes sound for the louder of the two 16' pedal stops.
An entire verse is played as the introduction:
Man II: Laute and Ped: 16'
Verse 1:
Man I: 8', 2' and Ped: 16;
With all the pow'r of heart and tongue,
I'll praise my Maker in my song.
Angels shall hear the notes I'll raise,
Approve the song, and join the praise.
Verse 2:
Man 1: 8', 4', 2' and Ped: 16', 8'
I'll sing thy truth and mercy, Lord,
I'll sing the wonders of thy word.
Not all thy works and names below
So much thy pow'r and glory show.
Verse 3:
Man I: 16', 4', 2' + Man II: Laute and Ped 16', 8'
A-midst a thou-sand snares i stand,
Up-held and guid-ed by thy hand.
Thy words my faint-ing soul re-vive
And keep my dy-ing faith a-live. |
