Flag Song words by Veronica Mason (cannot find dates) who was born In Lancashire UK, settled for awhile in Port Arthur Tasmania before returning to live in London. In 1907 she wrote a collection of 13 Australian themed poems in a collection called I Heard a Child Singing. Three of her poems were set to music by Frank Bridge.
She also contributed poems and stories to School Readers and it is possible this patriotic poem was written to stir feeling toward the Mother Country in the school children of Tasmania. Score attached.
Flag Song. One of Two School Songs set to music by A E Floyd and by a Brexit exit mixup is played on a German Walcker in the Netherlands and one verse is probably enough.
