| Description: | Almost 9 months ago I started a series of choral preludes by Johann Philipp Kirnberger, contained in Manuscript Am. 386, owned by the Staatsbibliothek Berlin. I published all works contained in that manuscript, except one: the Trio on “Ich dank dir schon”. So, it’s about time to publish it. The Trio on “Ich dank dir schon” (the title in manuscript Am B 396) was published also by J.C. Kuhnau as a prelude on “Ach Gott und Herr”. It is a beautiful organ trio, with the choral melody in the middle voice.
