"In Memoriam Keith Emerson" (Ostinato n.1)

"In Memoriam Keith Emerson" (Ostinato n.1) was written originally for organ four hands for the recording by Kevin Bowyer dedicated to the organ works of Marco Lo Muscio (Priory Records 1170 – 2017). This version was arranged in 2017. The core of the piece is a rhythmic ostinato in the Progressive style close to the music of Keith Emerson.The rhythmic joints (in contrary motion between the parts) are continuously in crescendo and full of harmonic tensions during the piece. The composition opens and ends with long and dissonant chords, mezzo forte in the beginning and fortissimo in the end.
