New Litanies in Memory of Jehan Alain

New Litanies in Memory of Jehan Alain (2008). The “New Litanies” was
written by Marco Lo Muscio for the commemoration of the centenary of the birth of Jehan Alain (1911/2011). The piece was premiered by Stephen Farr during the “La Verna Organ Festival” in Tuscany. All the original thematic fragments of the "Litanies" were rewritten in contrary motion, like a mirror of the original piece by Alain; many parts were amplified with ostinato-bass and many kaleidoscopic plays of colours and dizzying rhythms. This composition is one of the most virtuosic organ piece written by Lo Muscio.
