This impro reminds me of some parts of the "SimCity 2000" in-game music, where they used some jazzy parts to support the players' creativity... Plus, not long ago, unclegally's fine performance of "Paean" by Percy Whitlock[1] was an inspiration for me: To use the Hereford Tromba from the Solo division in favor of the Tuba, since I thought that it would result in a wonderfully mellow sound.
Btw, Jazz to be played on a pipe organ is not so unusual anymore, at least since Barbara Dennerlein[2], reknowned organista from Munich, entered the stage.
