The title of this meditative work is taken from the final verse of Psalm 17, “As for me, I shall behold thy face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with beholding thy form.”

Francisco Javier Muru (b. 1976) was born in Bilbao, Spain to a musical family. He was educated in the Conservatorio Profesional “Francisco Escudero” in San Sebastián, Conservatorio Superior de Castilla y León and at the Centro Superior de música del País Vasco “Musikene.” He also studied at the Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra in Rome. Muru is an active organist who has concertized frequently in Spain and Italy with a wide-ranging repertoire. He has been chief organist at the Iglesia del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, a Jesuite Church in Bilbao.
