Not exactly as beautiful as the orchestra version from the Royal Wedding[1], but I gave it a try since I was so much inspired by Martin Kondziella's perfect performance[2] on the big Magdeburg Cathedral main organ. (Yes, the same biggo I had the honor to play for a few times, too.) ;-)
While still humming or whistling the melody from time to time, I finally felt confident enough to replay the piece by ear. Sure, a few parts have been left out and some other, e.g. the fanfares, have been doubled, but if I'm allowed to do so, I'd like to call that a "personal arrangement", since these are the parts that I love to hear again and again and again and.....
A number of similarities unmistakenly seem to exist between this piece and the prelude from "The Spitfire", which can be recognized when comparing this piece to Agnus_Dei's recording at
http://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/18417 from late 2015.
Oh, and by the way... Mr. Kondziella is one of our members, too![3]
I would be so happy if he or anybody else on The Hall would record the "correct" version from the sheets and upload it... Since there are not so many Walton pieces up here, I'm pretty sure that a few more can't be wrong. ;-)

For those who own a 7.1 surround system, an 8-channel FLAC file can be picked up here to get an impression of what it will sound like in my living room:
