Another organ miniature but it IS jolly fun to play :-)
Adriano Banchieri (Bologna, 3 September 1568 – Bologna, 1634) was an Italian composer, music theorist, organist and poet of the late Renaissance and early Baroque eras. He was born and died in Bologna (then in the Papal States) In 1587 he became a monk of the Benedictine order, taking his vows in 1590. In several editions beginning in 1605, Banchieri published a series of organ works entitled l'Organo suonarino. (from Wikipedia)
E. Power Biggs recorded this piece at least twice, in his ‘Historic Organs of Italy’ and in the ‘Antiphonal Organs at the Freiburg Cathedral’ albums. It appears in his 'Manuals Only' book.
I am very fond of the Magnuskerk Anloo baroque reeds so I used the Dulciaen 8’ and the Vox Humana 8’, adding the Trompet 8’ in measure 17. Like Biggs I do not follow the written registrations.
There are 2 excellent uploads of the Dialogo on the Antegnati Italian sample:
