Description:
I'm uploading this for, at the request of our member, NickP.

This piece, which I confess is not my "thing," is heard here in the arrangement done by E. Power Biggs (1906-1977) for the "St. Cecilia Series."

The piece itself comes from the cantata "Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, BWV 147."

I don't think I've ever "actually played" this before, and I confess that I did not find the Biggs arrangement all that easy. Perhaps I have an "aversion" to the piece, which made me fight it, to some degree.

The arrangement is a refined one, and effective, although some will miss the fact that the "oboe part" is not "soloed out."

Anyway, Nick, I hope you enjoy it, and I dedicate it with friendship!

The MIDI file is attached below, as well as a two photos of E. Power Biggs.
