Composer: William Goodwin (18th century)
Sample Producer: OrganArt Media
Sample Set: 2012 Metzler, Poblet Abbey, Spain
Software: Hauptwerk IV
Genre: Classicism
Description:
William Goodwin (1766-84) was an English organist and composer. It is believed that he was the brother of Starling Goodwin (died 1784) who was also an organist and composer. William Goodwin was organist at St. Bartholomew’s, London then St. Saviour’s, Southwark, London.

This appealing trumpet voluntary is typical of its kind. A slow introduction on diapasons is followed by a sprightly solo for the trumpet stop.
