Out of all of Walther's chorale preludes that I have recorded so far, I think this one has been the most technically difficult. The texture is that of a trio sonata, but instead of each hand taking on a single voice, there are two voices in each hand, plus the independent pedal line. A beautiful chorale prelude, in spite of the technical challenges, I think this has been among my favorites so far.
