Walther sets three verses of this well-known chorale.
Verse 1: Manuals-only, mostly 3-part texture with cantus firmus in soprano
Verse 2: The pedal joins in on this verse and carries the cantus firmus. Notice the figuration in the manuals found at the end of each phrase of the chorale.
Verse 3: For manuals and pedal. The cantus firmus is found soloed out in the soprano line. I've used the beautiful vox humana stop of the Kampen instrument for this line :-)
