Walther provides us with two verses of this chorale in his first setting of it. The first verse is for manuals and pedal, with the cantus firmus in the pedal. The second verse is for two contrasting manuals without pedal, and features a lot of rapid passagework in the left hand while the right hand carries the chorale melody.
