Christoph Wolfgang Druckenmüller (1687-1741) was born into a well-known family of organist. His grandfather Georg Wolfgang was a student of Heinrich Scheidemann in Hamburg, his father Johann Jacob was organist in Norden at the famous Arp-Schnitger organ.
At the age of twenty, Christoph Wolfgang Druckenmüller became organist in Jork, and 23 years later he was appointed as organist at the cathedral of Verden, where he worked 10 years until his death.
There are four concerts in G, F, D and A for organ solo, as well as a prelude and a ciaconne in D. His works are part of the "Husumer Orgelbuch", which was republished by Carus.
