Wo soll ich fliehen hin (3 Versus)

Walther sets three verses of this chorale. The first two verses are for two contrasting manuals and pedal with the cantus firmus highly ornamented in the soprano accompanies by two-part writing in the left hand. Walther shows his skills with invertible counterpoint here, as in Verse 2 (subtitled Evolutio), he inverts the voices in the left hand accompaniment.
The third verse is for manuals only.

Today's batch of uploads brings the total number of chorale preludes I've uploaded to 129 (out of 132), and this piece is the final prelude in the main part of the Breitkopf edition. The final three works make up the Anhang/appendix of this edition, and I'll be uploading them in a couple days as well in order to complete the set :-)
