Thomas Lennert (b. 1967) — Adversum Requiem I (2015) for organ
Thomas Lennert (b. 1967) is a versatile Danish composer and musician who has composed in many genres, including classical concert music, church music, pop/rock music, and commercials/jingles. He is particularly well known in Danish music for his more than 150 pieces for children’s choir. As a performer, Lennert is trained as an organist (Vestervig Kirkemusikskole) and has served as the principal organist for Brædstrup Church and Hornslet Church. In addition to his work as a composer/church musician, he has been active as a keyboard performer, CD producer, and pop musician (with the Thomas Lennert Band and other ensembles).
