German church musician and composer Thomas Grillenberger (b. 1974) was educated in Würzburg and has served for more than 25 years as the organist and director of the choir of the Evangelical Lutheran Community of Wassermungenau. He studied with Emanuel Vogt of Windsbach who was a great influence on his work. Grillenberger has written much pedagogical music with the intent of inspiring both the young and young at heart.
