I very much liked the calm way how Max played the Intro/Choral from the Suite Gothique (see http://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/27758 for reference). Too many performances I listened to so far appeared to me to be somewhat in a rush, with some of them even leaving the impression of being played mechanically and without soul.
This piece is an extremely emotional one with such a solemn sorrow in it, so I tried to point that out by choosing a more intimate registration and by "painting" notes rather than to "attack" them (in a double meaning).
For those who own a 7.1 surround system, an 8-channel FLAC file can be picked up here to get an impression of what it will sound like in my living room:

- Player: Current versions of Media Player Classic are able to properly play multi-channel FLAC files.
