This is one of my favorite English baroque compositions: Adagio (from a voluntary) by John Bennett (1735-1784).
I cannot describe exactly why I get deeply touched every time I play (or hear) this little charming piece. Something about mood, melodic lines, harmony, development ... you see, I can't ... ;-)
Played on the Flauto conico 4' of the charming Azzio instrument. Sounds almost as if it was played by a flute ensemble, also because of the natural sounding Tremolo ...
I really hope that you get touched also by this calm and quiet piece.
