Description: | A soft and slow variation on Psalm 38 from the Genevan Psalter 1542 by Anthonie van Noordt (1619-1675), Dutch organist and composer, pupil of Dirk Janszoon Sweelinck (who was the son of the famous Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck).
I hesitated to choose "Baroque" as the genre of this piece, because Van Noordt composed in the style of Sweelinck, and that's more "post Renaissance" than "early Baroque" I think.
But it doesn't fit in "Medieval and Renaissance" either ... so ,,, "Baroque" it is ... ;-)
Well, this is really old stuff ... ;-) ... and it sounds well on the Azzio instrument, don't you think?
Played with the Flauto camino 8'.
I hope you'll enjoy it! :-)
