"Four Little Flowers of St. Francis" - 1) The Mystic lunch of San Francesco and Santa Chiara

The Four Little Flowers of St. Francis (Quattro Fioretti di San Francesco) were commissioned from the Harvard University in 2017. The four musical paintings take inspiration from "Little Flowers of St. Francis" a florilegium divided into 53 short chapters, on the life of Saint Francis of Assisi that was composed at the end of the 14th century.

The first piece, "Fioretto XV", (The Mystic lunch of St. Francesco and Santa Chiara - Il pranzo Mistico di San Francesco e Santa Chiara) is an ecstatic meditation that include some mystical harmonies close to Messiaen.
